Description
The homes tour in 1946, hosted by the New Bern Garden Club, showed off the significant historic parts of New Bern at the time. The tour started at the "Headquarters" which was the Woman's Club House at Union Point, the site of the government house built by Baron de Graffenried. The Tryon Palace restoration was forthcoming in 1946, but the John Wright Stanly House and other major historic landmarks were a part of this tour.
